Netflix Binge: House of Cards

9:00 AM

Do you ever spend the day doing nothing? Just take a day off to yourself and watch some Netflix? So do I! I wanted to start a series called "Netflix Binge" and talk about shows that {you and} I can just binge watch with zero shame.

So I wanted to start with House of Cards. House of Cards is a Netflix original series and the first season was released in 2013. The third season was released this past February. The episodes are called chapters and there are 39 total. Also, on April 2 it was announced that there would be a fourth season; which would be released sometime in 2016.

As of right now, I'm on episode 20 {season 2, episode 7} and I love this series. Now I should warn you, it gets pretty crazy but it's so easy to get hooked on; I look past the crazy and still love the series.

I definitely suggest checking it out, it's very intriguing and easy to get hooked on. {Plus Kevin Spacey's voice is oddly soothing}. So check it out!

What do you like watching on Netflix?

Happy Memorial Day!

9:00 AM

As I hope you are aware, today is Memorial Day! Take a moment to remember the reason for this holiday. Thank you to all who are serving and who have served to protect our country. I follow many people on Twitter who are "MilSo's" {military significant others} and some actually have their own little shops that I want to share with you! These are my two favorite shops that I highly suggest checking out!

Deployment Problems

Deployment Problems sells a plethora of things from clothing to bows to tumblers! {They have this Dodgers bow that I would love *hint* hehe}. Their clothing is so cute and they have more general items if you're not a MilSo but they do have military themed items! The owner is actually pregnant right now and I'm so excited for her! Check out her shop and find her on Twitter and Instagram!

Patriotic Bows

This shop mostly sells bows, clearly, but they also sell keychains and take custom orders. Although many bows are geared towards the military, there are general bows; my parents actually got me three bows for Christmas, and I got myself one before Christmas and I love them! Check out Patriotic Bows and find them on Twitter and Instagram!

Check out these two awesome shops; they are run by two wonderful women and both have amazing products! Again, happy Memorial Day! Be safe and have a great day!

College Tips: Summer Classes

9:00 AM

School is wrapping up and you're stuck with the decision of whether to take college classes or not; or you have to take summer classes because you are behind on your degree. Regardless, the term "summer classes" is in your brain and you don't know what to do about it.

Reflecting On Two Years of College

9:00 AM

Two weeks ago, I turned in my final assignments and finished my sophomore year of college! I am halfway done with college and I actually cannot believe it. So far, my GPA is 3.76 and I'm very proud of that; but this post isn't all about my grades. I wanted to reflect on the past two years and how it's been.

I still struggle to believe that I've already gone through two years of college; more or less because I feel like the time has flown by so fast. I went to ASU straight out of high school, in the fall of 2013 and sometimes I question if that was the right choice for me. I graduated high school at 17 {my birthday is in October so I was a youngin} so I sometimes question if I should have waited a year or something like that. I'm overly critical of myself so that doesn't always help.

I dormed my first year, and it wasn't the best experience. I never clicked with my roommate, I felt lonely; it wasn't fun for me. The dining hall food was pretty good, especially the french fries. Like yasssssss! But I don't not recommend dorming {also many colleges require freshman to dorm}, I always say give it a shot!

Friday Favorites: Coffee Table Books

9:00 AM

Happy Friday! This past week was my first full week of summer and yesterday I went to an open interview for Piedmont Airlines! {I should hear back by next Wednesday} Back to the favorites! These are some awesome coffee table-type books {most that I don't own, some that I do! But yes, I do want all of these!} I would actually use these books everywhere but a coffee table; on my desk {that I will get soon} and on a night stand or something. I will use them in places for a filming background

Campus VoxBox Review

9:00 AM

First off, these are not full reviews of every single product; those will be coming later on! This is just a quick review of everything in this box! Here we go!

Softlips Cube

I love this little cube! It is the cutest little thing ever! It is like a little ice cube, so the packaging is A+! This little cube does everything Softlips says it is supposed to do! I have the mint flavor and it is more of a spearmint as opposed to a peppermint; so if you're not into peppermint but into spearmint, this flavor is for you! If you want something different and unique but still beneficial, then go for this cute little cube!

Jergen's Sunless Tanning Mousse

Okay in all honesty, I haven't really used this because I am scared too...and I don't have all of the proper materials to do so. I tried it in a small area on my body {that is hidden by clothing} and I like it but I'm just too nervous to try it. Plus I don't have makeup to match and blah blah blah. I'm a baby about it, okay?

St. Ives Apricot Scrub

This. Scrub. Is. LIFE! I'm not even joking. I have been using this scrub every night ever since I got it. It makes my face feel so smooth and it even though it is a deep exfoliator, it doesn't dry out my face badly or make my face peel. It is a deep exfoliator though and my face feels so smooth and clean when I'm done washing it. It really does control blemishes; ever since I've had this product it has prevented blemishes and has made them disappear quicker than before. I highly recommend this product; it is true to its word!

L'Oreal Paris Advanced Straight System

I have to admit; I haven't used this yet only because I'm waiting for a special occasion to use it. That special occasion will probably be tomorrow; of course right after this post! Isn't that just how the world works? Anyway, I will update you about that when I use it!

Sour Punch Rainbow Straws and Punchies

I have mentioned before that I do not like sour candy. Now for the sake of this review, I did eat one of each and, well, I was not pleased. I did not like them. I just don't like sour things, I'm more of a sweet girl! {get it?} If you like sour, then go ahead and get these!

I'm so happy I was able to get this VoxBox and try out these products! I can't wait to receive another one soon {hopefully!}. If you'd like to sign up for Influenster, you can do so here: www.influenster.com/r/1052535!

Do you have any products that you really enjoy?

Meet Jingles, Our Furbaby!

9:00 AM

If you follow me anywhere, then you know that we have a cat named Jingles! She is our cute little {shedding} furball!

Jingles was a cat that we saw wandering around the apartment when Matt first moved to this complex in Sept. 2013. I though she was the most beautiful cat ever! In June 2014, when I was in California, she found her way to our back door and Matt let her in. We got her food and let her out at night. Over time, she started to spend nights inside and then a few months later she was sleeping inside, through the night, every night. She's become more comfortable and now just lays out in the open instead of finding hiding spot in the apartment.

When we first saw her, she had a really tattered collar with a little bell on it; so it was clear she was a housecat {or had an owner before}. When she had her collar ripped off outside, we got her a new one with a bell on it and then decided that her name would be Jingles!

Anyway, Jingies is one of the best things that have ever happened to Matt and I; even though she can be a handful, she has kept me company when Matt is at work. It's been almost a year now since we've had Jingies, and that is when we'll celebrate her "birthday" {only because we don't know when she was born!}. So sometime soon I will let you know when we have decided the date for her "birthday"!

So, here are some pictures of our very photogenic Miss Jingles!

So that is our cat Jingles! Do you have a pet?

Congratulations College Graduates!

9:00 AM

Tonight, the undergraduate seniors of ASU will walk across the stage and receive their diplomas at graduation {no, I'm not one of them. Two more years!}.

I just wanted to say congratulations to all college graduates that are walking across the stage in the coming weeks! You have accomplished so much and you should be so proud of yourselves to making it to where you are today! So congrats grads; you've earned it!

Happy Mother's Day!

9:00 AM

So this post is going to be a more personal one, it's really going to be a letter to my amazing mother. As you know, today is Mother's Day and I figured I would basically showcase the wonderful woman that is my mom, to you all today!

Also, as many people close to me, and you might have realized, I am far better at communicating my feelings through writing as opposed to speaking them; I don't know why, that is just who I am and how I operate.

Mom,

What can I say to you mom that would make you realize how wonderful you are? You have always been there for me, whether I wanted you there or not. Although it took me until going off to college to realize how much you truly were, and still are, there for me I'm glad I realized it sooner rather than later. Thank you for supporting me in every single thing that I've wanted to do from softball, to choir, to theatre, to going to college out of state, and even the things I've thought about doing but decided against for whatever reason. No matter what I came up with, you always stood by me and made sure that I always had someone behind me.

Also, I just have to say that you are basically a superhero; there is something super-human about you. From juggling two high schoolers, a job, and a husband to being a chauffeur and keeping your friend you have managed to do it all. In the past seven months, especially, you have been holding it together for everyone. I can only pray to be at least half the wife and mother that you are today.

I hope you know how much I appreciate you. I'm sorry it took until me leaving for college to see how much you have truly done for me but I really do appreciate you and love you mom. You are a fantastic mom and amazing woman. I hope you have a fabulous Mother's Day and that you are treated like a queen today and everyday because you are a queen. I love you mom, hopefully I'll come back and visit soon because I miss you! Have a great day!

Love always +forever
